It is a clear example of 18th century Classicism that with its scanty and
essential structure foretells the coming of the Neoclassicism.
Every ornamental-plastic model on the façade disappears and only the
structure of the cornices, with its composite interplay of the tympans (curvilinear
and triangular), gives the palace its sober elegance.
But it is in the hall and in the main stair that the scenographical baroque
taste comes back to animate the space with suggestive atmospheres, thanks to
the wise interplay of columns and banisters that filter the light coming from
the inner courtyard.
